Uncle Art Wilding World War II
Dear Friends, I have been trying to take some time to work on some personal projects that record some of my history, and family. My mothers brother Uncle Art Wilding served in WWII. This is some information on his service on Saipan, Tinian and Okinawa in 1944 and 1945. These islands were considered the most difficult "theaters" in the war. Tinian Island was the launching point for the atomic bomb attacks against Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Japan.
